A dental extraction service can be provided if the dentist determines the health of the teeth is beyond restorative care. Although every effort is made to save a tooth, it is often necessary to recommend a dental extraction<\/strong>. At our\u00a0Lauderhill Dental Office<\/strong>\u00a0we perform exaction on a same-day basis in most cases. We also provide\u00a0Emergency Extractions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To avoid dislodging the clot and delay healing don't:<\/p>\n

\n
• \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Smoke.<\/li>\n
• \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rinse your mouth with mouthwash or other substances vigorously.<\/li>\n
• \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Drink or eat extremely hot or cold foods or liquids.<\/li>\n
• \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Drink carbonated drinks.<\/li>\n
• \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Drink through a straw.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  You can usually return to your normal routine within two or three days after tooth extraction. During the first few days after the procedure you may rinse your mouth gently or, if you have pain and swelling, apply a cold cloth or an ice pack. You may require pain medication. You can brush and floss the other teeth as usual, however, do not clean the teeth next to the tooth socket. After the tooth extraction, we will advise you of what post extraction regimen to follow.
